Installation Instructions

Mounting your new HEX brackets is a quick and straightforward process that requires only basic hand tools.

⚠️ Safety First: Ensure your motorcycle is parked on a flat, level surface on its side stand or a paddock stand, and the engine is completely cool before beginning installation.

Step 1: Locate the Mounting Points

Look at the front forks of your Honda CRF300L/Rally. Locate the Original Equipment (OE) pinch bolts that secure the front fork suspension tubes to the bottom headstock (lower triple clamp).

Step 2: Remove the OE Bolts

Working on one side at a time, use the correct size socket or wrench to remove the OE bolts from the bottom headstock.

• Note: Do not worry, removing these bolts one side at a time will not cause the fork tubes to move or slide.

Step 3: Position and Mount the Bracket

Align the holes on the HEX Front Auxiliary Light Bracket with the factory mounting holes on the lower headstock. Re-insert the OE bolts through the bracket and into the headstock.

Step 4: Torque to Spec

Hand-tighten the bolts first to ensure they are not cross-threading. Once aligned, tighten the bolts securely.

• Recommended: Refer to your Honda factory service manual for the exact torque specification for the lower triple clamp pinch bolts.

Step 5: Mount Your Lights & Route Cables

1. Attach your chosen universal auxiliary lights to the mounting points on the brackets.

2. Route the light wiring along the side of the HEX bracket.

3. Thread a cable tie through the integrated slots on the bracket and secure the cable firmly. Trim any excess cable tie for a clean finish.

Step 6: Final Safety Check

Turn the handlebars fully from lock to lock (all the way left, then all the way right). Ensure that neither the brackets, lights, nor cables interfere with the motorcycle’s bodywork, cables, or brake lines.
